Hello there! Welcome to the Hugh Kollar State Farm Insurance Agency. We proudly serve Carlsbad, as well as communities across California and Arizona.

I’ve been in the insurance industry since 2002, and for more than 24 years, this career has given me the opportunity to build deep, lasting relationships with the people I serve. When our policyholders come to us for their insurance needs, they are trusting us with something important—and I take that personally. We truly work for our customers, and being “Like a Good Neighbor” isn’t a slogan in our office; it’s how we operate every day.

Over the years, I’ve been fortunate to be recognized for my commitment to excellence, including earning Ambassador Travel Qualifier status, Legion of Honor Qualifier recognition, and as a three-time Small Business Premier agent. These achievements reflect a simple goal: listening closely to our customers and helping them protect what matters most with the right coverage.

My team and I are a very proactive, customer-centric office. We believe constant communication matters, and we make it a priority to watch out for our policyholders and support them when they need it most. We provide Auto Insurance, Home Insurance, Life Insurance, Disability Insurance, and Business Insurance, helping families and business owners prepare for life’s everyday moments and unexpected turns alike. I’m a strong believer in life insurance, because protecting your family’s financial future is one of the most important decisions you can make.

I live right here in Carlsbad, where my wife Christine—my high school sweetheart—and I have raised our three children, Makena, Hank, and Jack. Our family has deep roots in this community, and giving back has always been important to me. I’ve served as Carlsbad Youth Baseball Commissioner, coached local Little League teams, high school hockey, and softball for many years, and I proudly sponsor Carlsbad Girls Softball. I’m also an active member of the Carlsbad Chamber of Commerce, staying engaged with our local business community.

You’ll find our office right in the heart of Carlsbad Village, at State Street and Carlsbad Village Drive, right next to Choice Juicery and upstairs above the coin shop. Two large State Farm flags mark our spot, and you might even see our dog Buck with us—he’s a big part of our family and also does therapy visits at local elementary schools, high schools, and retirement communities.

I earned my degree from California State University Long Beach and continue to stay engaged in learning so I can better serve my customers.
